Ameer Ismail

Ameer Ismail’s illustrious career spans almost two decades. He started his career in Lintas in 1996 and was entrusted with the responsibility of building the PR business - LinOpinion. In recognition of his contribution, Ismail was promoted in June 2010 to the post of Executive Director for the Lowe Lintas Group. He is currently part of the Management Committee of the group and directly oversees two critical areas of marketing services which are Public Relations and the Design business. In addition, he is also part of a core team that is mandated to drive the overall growth of the Lowe Lintas Group.
 
It is Ameer's vision that has defined the path that LinOpinion has taken and the success that it has achieved by being recognised as one of the leading players in the PR space. Today, LinOpinion’s client portfolio spanning over 30 industry verticals includes a large number of reputed brands such as Arcil, Seiko, JPMorgan AMC, Bose, Starwood Hotels, Times Television Network and Tourism Victoria to name a few. He also successfully heads dCell, Lowe Lintas strategic design business.
 
In the year 2003, Ismail was responsible for acquiring the Licensing and Merchandising (L&M) rights for the Cricket World Cup for India and the Sub-continent. This was the single largest L&M deal in the country.
 
Ismail started his PR career in 1992 with Good Relations India Limited and he moved to set up Enterprise Public Relations and then worked with Profile, a Grey Communications International affiliate and the PR division of Trikaya Grey Advertising Pvt. Ltd., before moving to Lintas in 1996.
 
Ameer is alumni of Cathedral School, Jai Hind College, Mumbai and has studied at Hamline University, USA. He is a member of Public Relations Society of India and serves on the advisory committee board of several management forums. He regularly lectures at leading management institutes. He has worked with the Centre of Change Management in successful seminars like International Brand Summit and The Asia Pacific HR Conference. He was also awarded the Indira Super Achiever Award in August 2003 and the Indys Leadership Award for Excellence in Marketing Communications in 2006.
