Melissa is the “dream designer” to world renowned clients such as World Cup Star, Oguchi Onyewu, NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, WNBA Star Alana Beard, Grammy Award-winning artist Common as well as a host of pro-athletes, civic leaders, reality-stars, personalities and politicians. She has designed multi-million dollar partnerships with personalities and properties such as Shania Twain, Jessica Simpson, Mary J. Blige, Universal Pictures, Discovery Network and ABC.
 
She is a classically trained marketer groomed in global branding during her tenures at Procter & Gamble, Victoria’s Secret, Baxter Healthcare and Nationwide. Her creative influence received industry-wide recognition. She launched the Swiffer brand, re-energized the iconic Mr. Clean brand, created the first multi-cultural marketing recommendation for Victoria’s Secret Stores, expanded Crest into new categories as well as re-branded Nationwide Insurance.
 
Johnson received a Master of Science degree from the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) program at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She graduated cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.
 
Reared in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Johnson learned the value of service at an early age. She attended Otterbein College on a community service scholarship, where she served as coordinator of the Indianola Middle School Program, a nationally recognized mentor program, honored by President Bill Clinton for its innovative impact in bringing hundreds of college students into community service. Johnson was recently inducted into the Otterbein College African American Hall of Fame in 2009. She currently runs the Passion 2 Profit Apprenticeship Initiative, a youth leadership program at Velvet Suite offering the opportunity to develop entrepreneurship experience to next generation leaders.
 
Johnson currently resides in Atlanta, GA and enjoys extreme fitness, dancing, mentoring, cooking, spending time with family and of course, sports.
